Impoverished uranium is obtained from the uranium enrichening process and from the reprocessing of the exhausted fuel from nuclear reactors. As with many other things created for our happiness, we cohabitate with this substance, not existing in nature, created by man. |

| MURUROA
One of the Pacific atolls of the Tuamotu archipelago in French Polinesia. 500 metres
deep inside Mururoa Vulcan, 138 nuclear explosions were produced. It was calculated
that every explosion created a sphere of broken rock whose diameter measured from
200 to 500 metres, depending on the energy of the bomb; the power accumulated
since 1975 in Mururoa is like 200 Hiroshima bombs. |
